Is a helmet advised for surfing Namotu? - I am a good surfer with a lot of experience, but I don't surf often anymore as I live in Utah! I tend to do a lot of late take offs due to weak arm muscles and get "pitched" occasionally on radical waves. Should I bring a helmet to Namotu? Your comments and suggestions would be most appreciated.

surf lefts even when not at resort - Resort guests of Namotu Is get exclusive surf rights to the break. Saturdays the guest change over. You'll need a fijian with a bit of pull to get in touch with them and see if they can hook you up for a saturday session... when you surfed wilkes all week, it was good to get onto the lefts.

Longboarder's Paradise - Namotu Left is a world class reef break that’s more forgiving than its fearsome, more famous neighbor Cloudbreak. At 15 foot it can be the thrill of a lifetime and at 6 foot, a longboarder’s paradise.
