stormy - just came in from a mairangi stormy, shoulder height, high outgoing but better than last nite.have been surfing the stormys since 84 and there used to be banks but since the gulf has filled up with silt its hopeless, and the storms arent 3 or 4 days of waves like the 80s and early 90s. Early december 1985,a vicous east nor east stormy,5 to 6 on the beach, maybe more, mission to get out, wind turns sw over nite, that morning 3 to 5,perfect stacked lines, and, believe it or not, some peaks out from the surf club and rivermouth.never seen it like that since.nov 1990 came close, longy point would have been on fire.poison idea.

I am shakin in my sandals! - You'll drop in on us? Hey dude. Its mairangi. There is no drop. If you "surf" it everyday, you must be a very accomplished paddler! come to the west coast for some surf lessons!
