Additional Information
The beach breaks are alright in a stormy Northeaster wind. This spot has a little more push in the wave than Takapuna does. The reefs are great in a north to northeast swell of 2 foot plus. Can be less crowded than you would think, becuse most surfers do not expect there to be waves there. Uncrowded days are no that uncommon. The beach only really works on a storm. There is also a great left point break between Milford and Takapuna, although it is inconsistent. On the smaller swells is also a favourite for long board riding

Atmosphere
The beach breaks are alright in a stormy from the north to east. There is a very good right reef break at the southern end. Can only be surfed on mid to high tide. When its on its packed so watch it. This beach works best when there is a big troppy ground swell coming down the coast. This only happens afew times each summer, if at all.

General
Inconsistent and mostly flat as a pancake. But when its on it is better than spots further north. Some of the best surfs of my life, have been had here. Also is a good indicator of swell size further north.
