Only breaks on low tide, incoming, consists of a left point break and a left reef break. Both were once connected, but man made interference, has dredged a portion of break. Must be at least 3ft at milford for it to break.
Atmosphere
Nice location, reef break, with interesting volcanic landscape and fossiled tree remains nearby.
General
This is a great little reef/point, but does not break very often. when it is on, provides, great waves, with tubes often and is a very bowly wave.
Once you have had a surf at Milford, head there for low tide.

- The water at oneils reef(would have said waves if there were any) are like all the northshore hatchback boys vehicles full of shit

keen - keen to check this spot after seeing what milford reef can produce, just have to wait for those troppo swells after work

Good times - Came out of my first barrel here. Nothing like being a grom getting kegged for the first time a stone's throw from home on a random swell. That was in 1995, never seen it break right though again
