Additional Information
there is a local called grant that usually will be out there either fishing or on his cobra ( wave ski ) but its more of a shore break steep take off can be really hard take off.
Atmosphere
Its a great atmosphere, a really nice wave usually works best at about 1.5 m but holds really big.Just watch for the sharks as i have been told its a bit of a nesting area, but saying that you dont bother them they should be sweet.

top quality wave ,if you are really keen on surfing some of NZ's finest i recomend either this or whiritoa

Wow!!! - I just arrived back from a trip to NZ, and i must say...this Beach was epic! such a fun wave and how hollow is it??? Shacked on the take off every time, fast walls and a couple of good smackable sections! Quite powerful too, you can really get raggdolled. The local boy's had it wired.
