There is no parking, so your best bet is to go to wood bay, and then around the LEFT point, to where this little cove is.
It's on the manukau, now to warn you, kelly tarltons catch their sharks here.
It breaks with a strong wind, and when its stormy<DONT SURF IN STORM ON MANUKAU, reason: currents, chop etc you will be swept away.
Make sure you surf with a group, 2 people wont handle it if you are here!
Preferbaly mal surfing would be best...

I think this spot is good, i walk around to the reef and then jump in with my board, paddle out where the waves are forming.

I love it, beautiful scenery, great excersize walking up the track, just take a thick blanky to sit on as its sand, with some sharp oyster shells there.

wood bay rocks - had it last weekend, epic 3-4ft barrels reeling off the point. Only me and my mate out. Bit of a tough walk and surfer jo is right about dodgy locals. There was this mean as ginger ..tiny tim apparently driving his tinny all round the break. Apparently he is an enforcer, making sure the Wood bay boys get there fair share. Give him a bit of money and he will let you thru, but watch out..hes tougher than he looks.
