Extremely difficult to surf usually surfed by bodyboarders only surfed by a handful of standups.
Atmosphere
If you've got balls this could be your favourite wave in hawkesbay not letting the location out you'll have to find it yourself but it is within 25mins of napier
General
This is easily the heaviest wave in hawkesbay swells comes straight out of super deep water onto a reef which is often only waist deep on the right swell a massive wedge forms at either end of the peak. The wave itself is usually only about 4 seconds long.

easier drop on a body board - easier to take the drop on hollow waves on a body board. not stand up surfers who cant take the drop in hollow waves, we hate being called kooks, we dont have any stupid names for stand ups, also when the swells from the east and over 8ft it doubles up on the reef then only body boarders can take the drop.....

not just for speedhumps - this place is for surfers aswell, just not kooks who can't make the drop in hollow waves. had some epic barrels out here
