a nice beach break ,can have nice barrels,also has a reef that can have nice shoulders, over an hours walk from the car park at ocean beach, you can drive to the norhern end of beach,you drive along the beach, be careful you can get stuck...

Richi uk - Ocean beach is one of the most beutiful beaches i surfed in Noz, wave quality is good with an abundance of peaks, it wasnt crowded once and the locals will make u feel welcome its also a stunning drive, i was staying at AJ backpackers in hastings, i highly recomend it, i have heard that the sumer season can get wild in hastings, with loadsa jobs going, picking fruit in the surounding area. If ur in the area its a must, also check out Napier. I plan to surf that beach again sum day! Enjoy

goes offffff.,...... - have surfed here for years on a body board, hade some nice barrels here, the reef can have nice shoulders, can surf here for hours and see no other surfers...............paradise
