From township of Martinborough - head south apprx 1km, then turn left onto Tora & Whiterock Road, this road eventually becomes unsealed. After you cross one of many small bridges - turn left for road out to Tora, or straight through for White Rock (all well signposted). When you hit the coast, there are great waves both up and down the coast...
From where you reach the coast:
Bombora - straight out in front, BIG left hand reef break
Styx - 2 min drive north to the near side of the first headland - medium sized left reef reak
Tora Point - 3 min drive south until you reach the tiny public toilet - long, long medium sized right point, needs at least a head high swell, fast and slow sections, often links up with a smaller right reef in front of the toilet
Shipwrecks - 5 min drive south, straight out in front of the wreck, medium sized left and right reefs
Plus many, many other unnamed spots

Atmosphere
one of the most isolated spots in the north island - empty, windswept, cold, barren powerful uncrowded waves not the kind of place you where you feel comfortable surfing by yourself
