snapper boy - im from the goldie, i traveled down 2 nz on a snowboardin trip recently, and had time 2 check out a few surf spots aruond auckland area, luked in big time at this spot on a solid swell, sick left reeling down a rocky outcrop (i think), peeled 4 ages and a decent barrel section 2.

yea right. - If this is shags at maori bay youre tripping. 'totally epic in the top 30!?' D R E A M E R. How many waves on this website are 'in the top 30'? 500? 1000? Man people are fools. Top 30 waves? Teahupoo, pipe, HT's, cloudbreak, G-land, maccaroni's, Mex pipe, J-bay, etc. Raglan would get 4 stars, theres NO wave on Aucklands west coast, let alone New Zealand (as far as I know) that fits into that category. Stop frothing on your stupid home breaks that break good a handful of times a year, do some travelling, come back,THEN see what you think about 'shags'....Im not dissilusioned by my home break's abilities to be good occasionally, are you?
