- you all shit mate that was caught in 1987 and it wasnt 20ft. iv surf there heaps and havnt seen a shark yet

She aint what she used to be - Rarely breaks anymore due to the expanding harbour. Doesnt get as big either. But on the rare blue moon, Raglan comes to New Plymouth. Would have loved to have seen this break before the harbour. Offshore on a southwest! But alas, we can only but imagine all the perfect waves that must have gone through.
Also note that this place must have the sharpest reef in Taranaki.
