Atmosphere
Located on the West Coast of the North Island of
New Zealand by New Plymouth lies the Waiwakaiho
river mouth reef. Melting snow from an extinct volcano cone (Mt. Taranaki) feeds a stream that runs over cobblestones into the sea. The whole
area is the remains of a volcanic nightmare
forming reefs and underwater canoyns and sometimes a cold water version of Sunset Beach Hawaii without the crowds, rip or scare factor!
You take off on a huge peak into a giant bowl
and on to nice inside wall! Works from waist
to doublehead with an outside Cloud Break!
