About a 4-5 minute paddle out after negotiating the tangling bull kelp on first entry into the water. There is a large rock that is visible even on a high tide which sits directly in front of the peaks but allows about 3 meters of clearance before washing over the rock. In other words this wave is makeble without hitting the rock.
Atmosphere
Atmosphere is very empty as it is an unknown spot to most. But the views of the surrounding areas are worldclass.
General
This spot is mad! It is very heavy and when its working it spits its guts into the channel. These sick spits are visible from at least 1km away at ground level!

Secret - I have lived In Chch for 33 years. Surfed for 23 years. There are no secrete spots that really go off consistantly.
