 Additional Information

The break is a good left hander. It breaks into deep water around the edge of a very shallow reef. The wave walls, then barrells on some sections before wrapping back into the reef. A fun wave (90m) which is not very long. Quickly gets saturated when the swell go beyond 2m.

Atmosphere

The wave is right in front of Lenakel Village. It is public access, never encouter any problem here. Some kids come to cheer you up sometimes. The spot is beautiful with a view of the Tuksumera (highest peak of Tanna) and plenty wild life (some turle, snakes, fish).

General

Avergage waves quite fickle regarding the wind and swell window. Very fast section on large flat reef indivualised by big fractures. not real reef head but it is pretty shallow anyway.

Sail the Seas - I saw the potential of this break as well, being it's by the only "market" on the whole island. To me it looked like there were a few too many coral heads in the way, but maybe if it got big, but really, how often will that happen on this side of the island? Port Resolution is the call if you want decent waves, but expect to surf the funky village peak most of the time. To surf the point (not the ancorage bay point) you will need a board that you would use for Sunset Beach, Hawaii. Laugh if u want, but after you've been there you'll know what I mean. This is FAR from a perfect wave though.
