Great for begginers and it's empty mostly so you don't have to worry about making a fool of your self. I was there this summer during the off season, during winter i'm sure the waves are better. Watch out for the urchins (protective foot-ware reccomended in the shallows)
Atmosphere
Nice beach for swimming close by, beautiful carribean water. It's relaxed.
General
Great for amatures, but pros will want to check out the east coast (soup bowl esp.) The Surf bungalow there has cool staff but the break is a little more crowded.

i love dis place - i had some next door neighbours tat loved surfing they told me brandons was good so as soon as i heard that me and my dad put our boards on or car and were offwhen we got there it was 10+ft you have to try and stay on the right because there is a very strong rip on the left you do not fight the rip beacause you get no where you just catch anther wave in and paddle back out this place is great

Good wave - Rode it a couple of times on a 2 week winter stay. Shoulder to head high, didn't have the power of other spots, but sweet. A little crowded, somewhat tough to get a wave, the regulars have it wired, always in the right spot. The lefts were peeling like a machine.
