ig wave deep water spot. catches full bore ocean swells. no channel, watch for cleanup sets.
Atmosphere
eautiful spot. long long paddle out on good days. mellow pot smokin locals abound. its a good spot when all the rippers are jammed up cutting each other off in the Soup Bowl. Good rides can be 500yds+ often overlooked because of the open ocean look to it. doesnt really barrell except on take off. way rippable walls.
General
Its pretty fun and never crowded. Is always bigger than soup bowl (crowded hotspot) and only 5 minute walk away.

size - Usually as size gets bigger waves get more critical and harder to surf...not this one..as long as you can handle the increase in speeed this wave stays pretty fun above D overhead. Suits a longer board at smaller sizes.

WAAAAAY Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - First surfed Soups in 1973. Stayed in the house overlooking the break. My buddy and I decided to surf Parlors. Big but not huge. Got outside! waited 20 minutes! BOOM, 8' 10 wave set. Learned a lot that day. Ahhhhh youth!!!!
