great spots but.. - its really nice to surf these waves up in the bay - but you really need to be able to ignore the ear infection / sewage water putrid smells. I live nearby, further towards the open ocean and can rarely summon up the immune system to stomach a session here. Guacalillo is probably the dirtiest beach I have ever seen. I would *never* want to get cut out surfing in this area.

- The directions listed here are actually for Valor point, a little north of Bajamar. Checked it out last week. Valor is a left point break off a cliff at the mouth of a river. Some rocks in the lineup area. Guacalillo to the south of Bajamar look like a nice place to surf. Good looking lefts off some nice sandbars formed by the estuary draining into the ocean. Too bad I didn't get the chance to surf either place after checking them out. Not the easiest places to get to.

Valor - Surfed here twice last week. The wave right at the corner was fun on the low tide, breaking all the way to the rocks. Just around the rocks at low tide was a smaller, but long left breaking wave all the way to the cliff wall at the rivermouth. We surfed the inside wave near sunset on January 27th and it was very fun. A nice peak starting right near the rocks. Fun little wave.
