- Being an old lady longboarder, i loved this place! I surfed it in dec 2012. The biggest day i surfed there it was maybe chest high at the most. It does start out slow on the outside but the inside section does get racey and barrels up . i haven't had this much fun or so much tip time in yrs. The little ticos were jerks and basically told me to go away. i did not see any crocs but was very wary crossing the river. It is filthy when it rains. I surfed mainly on the falling tide through low tide. you can cross the river then practically walk to the break if you put in next to the marina rock wall. i will surf here again.

Confusion - First off I think people are getting confused between Boca Quepos and Boca Damas. The first 2 pics looks like Boca Quepos which rarely breaks but when it does is a very long rippable left point. But as mentioned earlier the Marina is now built and the wave doesnt break like it used too so.... Now pic #3 looks like Boca Damas which is about a 30-45min walk to the north of Boca Quepos. Really best if surfed with jet-ski because of the strong currents and the distance it breaks from shore, but is probably one of the best waves in the country when its on.

serious crocks - I surfed the place and it was loaded with crocks. I have tried to score there over 10 times and over ten times close out impossible paddle outs and to hard ot make any waves. then to top it off a buch of jet skis swhoed up and runied my closeout session. I will stick to Boca Barranca for now on
