incorrect photo - the photo dated 11-23-06 is not Costa Rica. It is in Indo. Check out Second Thoughts by Timmy Turner.

Location - I do not want to piss anyone off and I may even be wrong, but from the description and the two photos that are supposedly from this spot, I think this is the public beach where the locals like to hang out on Sunday, just south of Dominicalito. I have been going to Dominical for years and just "discovered" this spot on my last trip. Across the street is a somewhat less than official soccer field and a little waterfall with a rope swing. The spot itself, as pictured, is about a 300 yards from shore to the south of a huge flat rock that juts about 25 feet out of the ocean. It needs a legit 6' - 8' swell to break and only does so at high tide. The inside is almost like a point break and breaks over some craggy lava rock, again mid to incoming only. The inside point offers up a steep take off with a good barrel section, I am claiming 4 second stand up barrel here. You would be hard pressed to get a legit barrel on the outside even on a good day. What you will get is a steep walled up face for about 100 to 150 yards. I have seen it triple overhead and holding. Take friend cause being alone out there with the big waves and thoughts of big "fish" can be really eery.
