This is where it breaks; pretty good as well; nice rights; sometimes hollow. You can stay at the bungalows near the rivermouth for maybe 30Q per night. Very beautiful. I was there for 4 days and didnt see another surfer. Watch out for debris coming out of the rivermouth.

watch your step - Iztapa is a mellow little beach town with a lot of nice, friendly people. You have to take a lancha across the river to get to the beach. Don't be discouraged if you don't find good waves when you step off the boat, you have to surf in between the jetties for ridable waves, the entire beach is one big closeout due to its steepness. The rivermouth probably holds good potential, but the day I surfed it the waves were mushy and junky. Watch your step in the water, I found a syringe on the beach. If you get the munchies the mariscos here can't be beat, just walk down the beach and you'll find plenty of restaurants to drink cerveza and siesta.
