South on the toll road, exit at Puerto Nuevo, go left ,look of the bluff, can't miss it. Look for the place called Raul's, it has a surfboard in the entrance, go down the street. Park on the bluff overlooking the water, paddle out and have fun. Best at mid-high tide.
Atmosphere
Atmosphere of this spot is relaxed, no locals, just you and your friends having fun. It is worth the drive to me just to get away from the so. cal crowds and get into some fun uncrowded waves.

needs alot of swell - Not to contradict anyone but I have found that raul's needs a bigger swell to be any fun on a shortboard, I hit it on one of the bigger sw swells late in the season in '05 when bustops and 38's were really macking and in contrast it was really mellow and fun here. Probably shoulder to head high and super clean. Maybe it was just luck, cuz I have driven past here countless times to find it weak and walled up and not really worth the effort. Saludos y cuidense

Extremely Mushy - Fun only on small swells for longboard. After that, it kinda sections alot.
