Atmosphere
This spot usually will have a crowd during the summer months when it breaks best. Never really bad though, because it is pretty desolate out there. Everyone pretty much drives in and camps for extended stays. It all depends on the crew, some are cool and some are dicks. Most of them of from California or Canada.

crumbly-closed out - Surfed this wave only one day, but it was on a decent hurricane swell. Only a couple guys in the water and I was getting all I wanted, but the right point never got any good. Sectiony on the "good" ones and closed out on several others. Not really that fun considering the effort to get there.

stay in cali - its not THAT good it can get good but not many times a year and if its crowded you wont even catch a wave, maybe mainland

Crowded and over hyped - If there is a swell and ships is breaking don't go there expecting to have it all to yourself, this summer a bunch of SD idiots were there all the time filling up the line-up and surfing like they were in a contest(fighting for every single scrap like hungry dogs), really ruined it for everyone else. They pulled up blaring aweful music with two car loads of fools, set up cameras on tripods and just made it feel like a crowded day in SD. The wave is ok, its a right hand reef break that has a little juice and is pretty fast but doesn't really barrel unless its just rediculously macking. Only one or two take-off spots so if there are more than 8 people out its lame.
