Atmosphere
Full of non surfing visitors who we´ll be glad to see you ride a wave, locals are realy nice, if you don´t look for trouble there´s no posible way to find one, but if you do they are very dangerous. so just try to be kind with everybody and you´ll spent a great time. By the way girl factor at this beach is one of the best in Acapulco.
General
This isn´t a world class spot, but if you are thinking about going to Acapulco or you are just near by I suggest you to try it.
Not a classic, just an ordinary beach break blown out most of the time! The wave has a right and a left, but is is not worth the hassel (by far not a classic!) Most of the locals there head elsewhere unless they are just home for the holidays. If you don't watch out you WILL get robbed. The place is notorious well know for being crowded and full of vacationers=lots of theft!

my wave - grew up bodyboarding/surfing here. closest place to downtown aca and definitely not a world class wave, but can be fun. the locals are awesome especially compared to other mexican spots, and are always willing to chat and give advice if youre friendly. this is no ocean to mess with though. hugely strong currents are the norm and ive seen lots of people come close to drowning here. hit it in the early morn or afternoon and you might get some longish rides, otherwise its probably windblown. dont let yourself get out too far. when its huge try the very north end pointbreak(just walk to the end of the beach), it will go off when its unsurfable and closing elsewhere. lots of chicas and such on holidays, but i prefer it when its uncrowded. viva mexico
