This is a fun wave. Locals are friendly and very helpful. The wave can get good when the swell is up and the locals say it evens barrels. Shallow beach break claims a lot of boards. Look out for Bodyboarders, tourists playing in the beachbreak and souvenir hawkers.

suckas¡ - chac rules in winter sessions , you need to be ther to watch te tubes & the perfect peak with glassy & cristaline water, plus, we have the hurricane season , yoyu just need to be there the right day.

No surf in Chacmool - Poor travelling surfers trying to find waves at Chac. The place is so fickle that even vitualbuoy predictions fail to materialize. If you live there it's fine, no waves = go do something else. Don't plan a surf trip around Cancun unless you are going for a full month or the predictions are just right (hurricane sweeping by or something similar).

Cancun questions - Are there places to pick up a rental. Only gonna be there for 3-5 days, so not wanting to drag my boards thru the hassle of the airlines if it's fickle. What's rental price per day? I'm going to be there in April and hoping there's still some Winter wind kickin' up some swell.
