From Pochutla, take a camionetta about 10 miles west. Go past San Antonio and get out at the dirt road off to the right of the main road. It is signposted, Playa Ventanilla. Or from the other direction, go about 3 miles past Mazunte and you'll see the sign. About a 15-20 min walk down the dirt track.

If you ever get to this spot, and I bet few people do because it takes some effort, you will have a great surf. Take plenty of fresh water to drink, suncream and maybe a tent. Don't camp too close to the estuary behind the dunes. Camen live there!

What could be better than surfing a totally desolate beach with nobody around for miles. Just you, a bunch of your buddies and some perfect Mexican waves?
