Drive north from Punta Mita to a small fishing village called Chacala. You have to hire a panga boat (approx $15 for 3-4 hours), and travel north up the coast approximately 20 minutes. The local panga drivers/fisherman know where it is. The spot is named for a Local bartender, Lola, who has a "taste" for young American surfers! This is a great left, breaking of a little point, and through a beautiful cove, there is section that flattens out on small days, but if the sweel is at least chest high, you can connect the section and get a really long ride that will leave yer legs burning.
Atmosphere
This place is what surfing is all about. A beautiful, picturesque, hidden jungle cove. Empty line up, with fun, fun waves for you and your friends. The loacls fisherman are very friendly, and happy to put you out to the break in their boat for a very nominal fee. They will actually hang out and fish and dive for langosta until your done surfing.
General
I love this place. Can't wait to go back. Warm water, good surf, total seclusion....what more could you want?

- Looking forward to hearing more about Lola's. How's the bug situation there? Like San Blas, or more mellow, due to the location.
