Isabela is NOT a spot, its a TOWN with 10+- spots: Middles, Salsi, Short Island, Golondrinas, Jobos, Shacks...really,really good spot. go to costco and get the travel booklet and get the info on how to stay there, its like 350 for the whole week i think, but check.www.costco.com-john fredricks
Atmosphere
General
Fun area. When small, there are good spots to teach the kids and a non-surfing spouse might even appreciate the setups too.

Photo #1 - Photo # 1 is of Jobos. In between sessions, you can go get a beer and some food at the bar right there in front on the sand. Best spot in P.R. for the surf/beer combo action.

Fucking Yankie - I think that with that attitude and ideology you deserve whatever it happened to you cause you sound like a fucking "rich" american that you think you can go wherever you want with your dollars and that it´s what happend to you, but keep in your mind that this only happen in PR if you go to other places like anywhere in Europe with this behaviour it would be a pleasure to kick your fucking ass.

Isabela/Jobos Locals - I have been a ton of places and the locals in Puerto Rico, particularly in Isabela and Jobos, are hands down the friendliest I have evern encountered. If you show respect, don't snake, and have a smile on your face, you will get waves, you will be respected, and you will enjoy surfing at it's best. There is a local crew of very good surfers and pros and they are protective of their waves and they might not warm to you immediately but they, like almost all Puerto Ricans, are extremely friendly and show alot of aloha. Remember you are a guest and they will make you feel at home. Come with an attitude and you will get checked immediately. Puerto Rico is paradise and the people are what makes it such a special place.
