You need to get access to a gaited community, but you can tell the guard you are going to the beach. Just have your divers license ready. There is parking right there in the cove. When wet, you may need a 4x4

Additional Information
Just like any other reef break... it sucks up. Watch out for dry reef if you go at a low tide. This spot cranks when the Canes come through, the point goes off. Wear reef booties.

Atmosphere
Good vibe. Locals are cool and welcoming. Not many surfers on the island. Weekdays are empty. There are a few other spots on the island, but this is the most consistant. If there are waves in St. Thomas or Tortola, they have them here.

- Went to STX and stayed in judith's in 11/2011. definitely a fun reef break & the waves were good the week i was there. Consistent waist-head high and light winds. its the only break i found on the island that was worth paddling out. i surfed there everyday and only saw 2 other people all week. definitely the shit when comparing reef break to east coast beach break. The beach is mostly rocky and the bottom is rocks and reef so watch out for urchins. reef booties arent a bad idea. It definitely sucks up and the reef will jack you up if your not careful. i personally didnt run across any surf shops or anything geared towards surfing out in town. There are dive shops in christiansted & fredickstead but thats all i saw. Since there is very little to do with surfing on the island, id bring your own board. We did have a great time snorkeling and diving. Everyone we met was pretty chill. Never met any locals that were assholes or anything. theres so many better places to plan a surfing trip but all in all, its a cool island, cool people, good food, good diving/snorkeling & good surfing. and its a US territory so no passport needed.
