wat r the locals like ?? - im going at easter just wonderin are the locals ok with gud surfers surfin there break ??

haha no surf in maso - I used to have a job at one of the hotels and naively brought my surf board from south africa...there bloody 3ft waves for months on end with the occasional swell that picks it up a bit..travelled around gran can and other islands and i can tell you that dont take the spot ratings too seriously because there are no amazingly gnarly waves...in season with exactly the right conditions maybe...but even the bloody north pole can have sick waves if the conditions are perfect.
c'mon lads, rather surf portugal or spain where there are waves..not german and english tourists bodysurfing an epic 2ft hollow shorebreak!

hiring kit out - Hey, Im heading to Gran Canaria next week and wanted to know if the surf was good there this time of year and if we go to body board at Maspalomas, is there any where we can hire boards? let me know as not long till i go.....counting down the days thanks
