Additional Information
Best to not surf alone here (even if it's not the first time), because the rivermouth can build HEAVY currents that will send you offshore with no hope of paddling against...maybe you end up in Great Britain...
Especially if it rained a lot inland the days before, which happens frequently.

Atmosphere
This spot is close to an archeological site (Celtic and Middle Age period) you can see from the water. Get there by early morning and good surf conditions...just feel the centuries sitting close to you, waiting for a good set.
But if the swell is close to (or above) 10 feet, believe me, you won't have the time to breathe the slow, slow tide of History !

General
Wonderful place, mainly unknown, mainly unsurfed.
Can be as fun as anywhere else; and more...stressful than most of the other surf-places around.
Typically a winter place with cold air, cold water, lots of rain (cold) and wind (cold).
POSSIBLY DANGEROUS.

C'mon B.Hang the fat Palette charger!!!!! - Hello mozaire-foquairz!!!Well Beg Leguer was indeed a wonderful spot for surfing and better even for bodyboarding with nice little rides and a particularly powerful shoerbreak with sandy barrels, but it's really bad now, nomore swell coming through... I agree with the black short B.Hang who perfectly knows the story of this spot since the last 15 years. The best reef around is at the north of the bay (direction trebeurden) with a moule-full rock thats makes incredible "mollets-destroying" waves and sick barrels. It's a totally crazy right-handed wave!! Go to it and shred the lip with your mach 5!!!PS: The spot is now better known for its gay meetings at the place called "panorama". Be careful, hetero people, gays are many many to fuck in the landscape. Radif found used condoms near his tent when he slept over there with a famous britton photograph. New Name of the spot: Homosexualz...
