From main city Ajaccio, take road D111 toward the Sanguinaires islands and Parata point. 12 km from Ajaccio Westward. When you get on the last parking lot before the road stops and the sea begins, stop (!). The spot of Parata point is there, right(North) and left (South) of the parking lot. You will have noticed : that's 2 spots in one place (thank you Wannasurf for giving me such nice presents!). The South spot is a righthander pointbreak (any swell direction from South to NW) and the North spot is a lefthander one (South to North going W swells).

Additional Information
This 2 spots-in-1-place is also a famous diving mecca
and the surf is mainly better during gales. You then
have to shoot the offshore-exposed wave but that mean
you have to wait for the swell to build up enough to
turn around the point (diffraction).
The place is not very wide, though, and you should
be very cautious about the CURRENT.

Atmosphere
Haven't surfed there myself nor seen surfers...
I have, indeed, seen the postcard you can send by Mail...
the one showing a hell-gale here with 2.5 meters
waves at South point.
WATCH OUT FOR ROCK bottom and the occasional urchin.

General
Very harsh landscape, with the Sanguinaires islands
just offshore and the whole gulf of Ajaccio in the East.
BONUS : during a swell, take a walk Northward between
Parata point and the Minaccia bay.
No real info concerning the place but nautical charts
show great potential and nearly no road :
the perfect place for a secret spot !

kamikaze spot - I've seen the spot working with big swell from SW, it's almost impossible to surf there because of the rocks. You must really have a suicide desire if you want to surf there with onshore wind.Try the several sandy spots on the coast from Ajaccio to Porto, they are sheltered by big cliffs.
