This spot is very strange but produce maybe the hollower tubes of this area. It's works only on very big swell when lacanau is closing out. Come here only if the swell is bigger than 2.5 m. It's offshore even the wind is South or slightly SWS. Currents are very strong here: it's a dangerous spot. The water is polluted because of the Gironde.
It's mostly lefts waves. Tubes are better during the mid falling tide. "The Piscines" has a rocky bottom.
Atmosphere
The spot doesn't work often. Come when it's big. The water is always colder than Lacanau(one or 2 C° less).

soulac - I live in Soulac and i must say say that summer 2003 was really bad, we must have had only about two or three dasy with waves overhead, sorry for those of you who came in 2003. SUmmer 2004 was hower epic, huge swell aournd low tide gave way insane barrels, with waves easily between 1.5 meters and two meters, at high tide you have to paddle out and the waves aren't as hollow but much longer. i rellay reccomend this spot to any surfer stoping by in france,. you can then continue your trip down to lacanau adn end it with hossegor...
