Nice place! (not in the summer) - I've been there for 2 years now. We had some nice swell everytime and it was good fun. The local people are very friendly and I like it because it's small, nice and kind of cosy. There's a camping very close to the beach, and the camping has some really good accommodation. But I've got to say that I only went there in june ( so before the crowd). I think when you go there during july and August the beach, town and camping is heavily over crowded.

My Village Hourtin - I'm from Hourtin but live in Ireland now. For the ones who slag my village. If you don't like Hourtin tuff..I love my village. Ok it's quiet only 3500 peoples live there during the winter and 30 000+ in the summer. But don't talk about something you don't know. Hourtin is not Lacanau or Biarritz we have our own little life and we love it. I'll be there next week on holiday and I can't wait to see the waves..
