Learned how to surf here, conditions vary a lot during july-august. It can be cold, warm, strong, weak, high or low. I love the little town because it has it's own spirit. Sadly the tourism caught up,so to many families with little kids...

in august? - Hey you all!I want to go south of France at finals of august. Is it recommendable and are there enough waves? I´m quite short on time and money so i don´t wanna go there and find myself with a f**king flat sea or poor baby waves. Please mail me about your experience or give me some other information. Can i get here by train or bus`?Thank you!

nice wave and cool atmos.. - One of my favourite spots. I stayed there for a period of six weeks last september and had some really nice waves. I surfed in front of the main entrance...but I had some very nice waves some 800m left from the main part of the beache. Beware that spot is right in front of the nude-section....but hey whatever. St. Girons is not only a great spot because of the nice waves. But also because of the relaxed atmosphere in the village, the relaxed local surfers and the fact that there are several other small towns with nice beaches/waves in the area. Unfortunately it is getting more popular.
