The French Mediterranean coast can be separated in 2 zones: From spanish border to TOULON-HYERES:2 dominant wind directions:- SE winds that blow mainly in winter season (September-February) and sometimes until May. They can bring great waves, and south swells can gives us 3-4 meters waves sometimes (very rare though...)- NO winds ,which is our region's typical wind direction,we call it &quotMISTRAL&quot.
