Med Sharks - Documented fatal white shark attacks have occurred in Greece and in the rest of the Med but unlike Oz, Hawaii, or S. Africa they are extremely rare. However plenty of other shark species exist, especially in the Ionian. I've personally encountered a few while spearfishing in Kefallonia and Zakynthos.
