surfing in Greece - hi my name is ilias and I have lived in cornwall during my studies, where I got most of my early experience with surfing. Since, I have travelled for surfing to several places around the world, so in my humble opinion I know a few things about judging waves.Concerning your question about whether there is surf in greece my reply would be; there is just enough to satisfy a hungry and deprived surfer that hasn't seen ocean waves for a prolonged period of time. However there are these rare occasions when the conditions get together and create a wave that could be mistaken for a head high ocean wave and sometimes a bit bigger (this will be a few days/ year). Most of the spots are very fickle so one might go pass them and see only a mushy blown out image of them. However for those who have seen then work the hope of getting a glipse of surfable waves will make them come back no matter the km they will need to travel. To finish and no longer tire you I would say there is little med surf in greece for those living here but I would not travel to greece from abroad in search of waves. Personally I believe concerning greek surfing trips. these should be enjoyed whether one finds surf or not, like a small trip to the country side and when there is surf share it and have a good time doing so with whoever you will encounter there. Enjoy
