- Rocks
This is not a great wave. Portrush area is more frequent and gets bigger and is way better. 3 different car park around the beach.
Atmosphere
The only thing is that there is no crowds of any kind. It closes out, but if your searching this beautiful countryside and fell like a surf might as well have a go.
General
I seen bodyboarders out but didn't surf. But later as I was surfing the web I came across pitures. Search the area, you may find something new.

Local surfer - Ballycastle isn't great at all, but sometimes it goes off!The wedge near the rivermouth never really gets too big to handle so usually it can be good when everywhere else is too big.

- Ballycastle is a great wee spot if your bodyboarding for fun!! Waves will on a good day take u out of the water and onto the beach. Though be warned when the tides turn there are VERY STRONG currents that will take you out to sea, but as long as you only bodyboard when the tide is turning or coming in you'll be fine! Happy Boarding!
