Just get the Pegli public beach (by Bar Amleto, Rari Nantes, Hotel I don't know, etc.) and at the very right you'll see waves breaking. At the moment there're no parks for your car. This spot works at most with SE wind, but even after a big swell, if N, NW or NE it should be good. The wave is quite powerless, but fast and often with a good tube. If you get there with the right conditions, you may think you're not in Italy, but at Waimea Beach. When getting in, pay attention not to go over death mice (10-15 ft. length!!!)which are sunbathing!!!
Atmosphere
You'll feel good, cause locals are often nice to strangers (not fucking man-made danger).
General
On my opinion it sucks, cause the two times I went there I was ill and I didn't know (I just was feeling tired...Then I stayed in bed for 5 days). But anyways, especially if you want to try a ledgey wave, go there. All tricks are allowed, from cut back (the most popular) and rodeo clown 900, which is just a bit less famous here.

Please delete this spot!!! - Pegli's spot is not existing anymore... the building of a HUGE industrial port has totally deleted waves from this spot... The same port building is now expanding and menacing VOLTRI spot too....

here goes another spot - That is a bummer. I have never surfed in Italy, but from the pictures and stories I heard, it sounds like a lot of fun. Too bad about your spot. Surfspots are diappearing here in Southern California as well. All that remains are memories and the stories, of how good it once was...
