Lucky if you get it on... - I guess you gotta be lucky to get in on anyway... heh hehBut the simple fact is its not a consistent wave and the three weeks i was there last year it never really broke well once! Every time a decent swell came the wind played havoc with it. So frustrating. A few degrees from direct offshore and the cliffs cause it to whip around side shore with all sorts of crosschop when the clauds look like it should be offshore ahhhggggg!!!!. Saw it lining up small - and by small i mean 6ft but you wouldnt want to surf it that size as its too shallow with the irregular bottom upsetting the face of the wave with surgy double suck sections and all sorts of wonky bits - if you fell off you'd be hitting the bottom for sure. It needs to be at least 8 - 10ft before it really gets going(not 10feet on the face, no, from behind! - i mean real 10ft!)Looks hard to get out but ok to get in inside the little harbour. Exits would have to be not too late as youd be on dry rocks. Wish i'd got it even as good as the 2nd photo. Even then i think it gets better than that. Very dependant on the swell direction to be just right.Good luck to anyone who scores it! Apart form that the laid back atmosphere of the district is great if a little lonely at times.
