You can park your car 30 meters from the water. Watch out for the norwegian vikings, pretty territorial locals, but not very often there.

bad spot? - i was in farstad last week. I checked hustadvica first, big wave but not realy surfable (close out on dry rocks), exept with big swell i think. Then checked Farstadstranden but there were no waves at all....it was a west, south west swell and side shore wind. Can anybody tell me when it gets good and where i could check it.I'm from belgium but currentjy working in oppdal for the summer. I'm a passionat surfer and i think i wont survive summer if i cant surf.

Don't bother brother! - Its very fickle and predominantly onshore. I've been there a couple times over the years and its a bad setup. The locals are so dialed in on that hollow tight short backwashing shallow reef that their having a dogfight on their own catching the rare surfable set. Absolutely no waves for visiting me, only grunts and stinkeyes from the locals. Good surfers though but apperently not very friendly towards the odd visitor. Not bothering going back anymore. They can have their shit backwashing waves for themselves...........
