Praia da Luz is a beach break with ideal conditions on high tide and South/Southeast swell.
Best season during winter time between November and March when the predominant wind is blowing from North.
Good place for surfing, kite surfing and windsurfing.

Luz rocks - Its all true, Luz is fickle and flat in the summer (apart from the odd levant swell - which is good for skimming) but the winter SW swells rock this beach and reefs - FYI the only guy who gets shacked at the right reef is Xana, 6 sec barrels, in your dreams! this is not Indo. James is a good lad, keep it up.

help - going here in july so is it worth taking a board down to the beach or is it a load of shit. is the west coast better and more consistent at that time of year

there was - went here in the summer it got swell for two days betwenn 23jul and 5 aug 3foot shorey heaving better for bodysurfing. unless you want to snap your board.
