From Lisbon get on the A2 highway top the south, then +-15km ahead turn right in the exit indicating Sesimbra, then follow EN378 road until you reach a OTAN/NATO base, where you turn right (you will see an indication of Lagoa de Albufeira). Then you follow that road until you see an arrow pointing to Lagoa de Albufeira, and turn right following that arrow; then a little ahead turn left, go straight ahead, and near the lagoon follow the arrows indicating the ocean beach.

Additional Information
Usually works better when the Lagoon is connected to the sea, forming nice sand banks, usually giving rise to nice rights (this usually happens from May to September). When south swell appears, with clean wind conditions, there are always good waves, mostly lefts, with or without the connection to the lagoon open.

Atmosphere
In the summer there are lot's of people in the beach and some crowd in the water, especially during weekends; not in the summer, during weekdays, there usually is no crowd (though the lagoon connection is closed, so the waves might be bad). Warning Locals are dangerous.
