The swell is always smaller here than the other spots of the coast. A lot of surfers. the good point is that this spot supports a lot of windy conditions. Come here when the swell is big and the other spots are not working because of the wind except by northern wind.

General
I remember surfing here on a huge swell in 95, when all the other beaches were closing out. Scared myself and got hammered by a clean-up set, but had some great waves.

lovely spot on winter - summer is definellety not the best season to surf in the north of spain(however, september is usually great), crowded beaches without waves at all, but if u want big surfing, winter swells, u'll enjoy ribadesella, and probably u'll be surfing alone or with a few good local surfers(mauro,javi...).i love ribadesella, but the truth is there are lots of better spots not far from it(but i won't tell it to u, find out by ur self.un abrazo pa javierin, y pal flying bird, epic surfers.....
