The spot is excellent. The beach has several breaks:
- On the left, you'll find a long wave.
- In the middle of the beach, there is a channel which sometimes helps you to get out beyond the break. Long lefts and rights. Pretty interesting. At low tides, a few rocks appear.
- On the right of the beach, at low tide and with a good swell (1.5 m minimum), there is a hollow, fast right along the cliff.
It works even if the wind is North East. At high tide, it works only with a big swell.
Atmosphere
A lot of locals, and the level is high. Gets crowded when waves are good.

los locals - Found it a bit overrated. We ended up heading up the coast every day to San Vincente. At least there the waves were deserted....the locals have some serious attitude, and the wave wasn´t great (closeouts for the most part). I would love to ´do´this coast in the autumn when some serious swell hits as there are so many sheltered spots that need a big swell to get going. By the way, I can recommend The Big Blue Surf Guide to Spain - very useful.

los locos - I've surfed there 3 years running when traveling across the north coast. It's always more crowded every year. The waves are fairly nice there, but it's hard work getting any of the good ones because the locals are all over them. We camped in the campsite in suances, the guy who runs it was really helpful and friendly.
