Nice beach - Nice beach , with warm water in a summer. The surf is ok , but not comparable to Rodiles , one hour west. Nice views , but not as consistent as Galicia ( Ferrol region ) , and Peniche ( Portugal). Still not as crowdedworth a 2 day visit , more that that is kind of boring

warning when the sea is big!! - Somo is the first place you don´t have to go when the sea is too big. You can feel the whole power of the Cantábrico in your bones.

s'nice - Have just spent a lovely week in this area. We were actually based in Loredo but surfed somewhere between there and Somo. Had a super time. For most of the week we were blessed with off shore winds and beautiful sunshine, what more can a girl want? and it was warm enough to surf without a wetsuit, lush! If you are heading to this area then it's definately worth checking Somo/Loredo out. The beaches weren't crouded during the week and everyone I met in the sea had a smile on their face, no snarling locals just friendly ones! Yea xxx
