 Additional Information

You can park your car in a little parking. Now, the parking is under construction
because somobody has the 'wonderful' idea of construcing a new building in front of
this beach. Note that there are two spots, the beach-break and the 'reef' (mincers) Parking is ok! dont get cofused, were this palce is it is not beach break or reef on la Fosa main beach, when entering the water be careful it can be tricky when a average swell hits and when big well you can make your own mines up!about were to get in?

MINCER's is my favourite reef in Calpe and being a local From Calpe, Only me and a select few friends Surf it. It has some nasty Current which when big it can be a very hard paddle, but once out back, if you be patient you will be rewarded with waves of a very Hi standard with tubes which I haven't seen any like it, from Javea to alicante, I am a regular in Javea and I'm good friends with the locals there. The same rules go down here as with Respect the local, keep the place clean and the main one NO DROPE INS! We don't crowd your breaks when you got waves, so think before calling the whole of the town to ours. There are waves for all and come and try MINCER's I hope you enjoy it here but remember more people, less waves for all and tempers rise!

Atmosphere

Calp (or Calpe) is a typical touristic village, so there are a lot of tourists during the year.
In summer it's crowded, but not by surfers. When it's big, probably you're alone in the water.
When the swell has SW or S direction, you have to have a look in Calpe.

After April it can be dangerous with bouts and but mainly jet skies, there are no swimmers or crowds of tourists in this surf place. But you have the problem as we all do of the red cross which, as you know are not surf life guards and have more chance drowning there self than us! Who surf these spot at there most dangerous! Anyway come and try this wave, it's the closest you will get to the north of spain amazing surf!

Good option when there's a SW or S swell, but it depends a lot of the wind direction.

Surf in Calpe? - I have been to Calpe many, many times, normally in the summer and have never ever seen any surfable waves - if that picture shows it as good as it gets I think the car park will stay pretty empty....
