Surf to the left of the pier, where the waves are at their hollowest.
Towards high tide, the wave pick up and produce a really hollow break onto the beach. This can sometime dump you, so why not try a hand job!
Atmosphere
This break is rare. Look for big swell coming up the channel or easterly's. It generally happens out of the summer season, so probably best in September, October, November.
General
Check conditions of swell generally and wind direction.
This wave is never the quality of, say, Pipeline, however, is one of the only breaks in the south devon area.

Thats one less in line up - That red surf tec and its crazy long haired rider will be missed but our memorys of Hector dropping in on us will live on, in our hearts and in the dings he put in our boards. There will be someone to step in to his boots and I hear John is about the same size. Any way shame its been flat recently but never know could be waves soon.Catch you cool cats on the flip flop
