After a long drive down the a499 from the nearest cities, Bangor and Caernarfon you will need to navigate well, negotiate the tricky single lane roads, which will filter out the SUVs or caravans and then trust yourself that you are in the car park when the road ends in a field. Look in the hedge and you will find the pay and display! The journey's not over, there's a 500m walk down to the cliff tops and then a walk down to the beach, 10 mins.

It is however a pot of Welsh Gold at the end of the rainbow and is truly worth the trip. As the faint hearted and unmotivated will fall by the wayside the chances are you will have paradise to yourself. Pitch a tent and stay a while. Oh and the waves - big, powerful and varied across the whole tide. But then you didn't expect anything less did you?!
