Shlottpipe - The hotpipe really is rubbish. It's almost always weak sloppy mushy and choppy. And if the wave is anything over 6 inches there will be 200 surfers in, ranging from complete kooks launching their longboards in the direction of your head to the better surfers who comically get all 'locals only' over an ankle slapper... If you're really desperate for a wave, go and wash some car windscreens and save the train fare to Cornwall.

Plop pipe - The best thing about this break is learning to slalom through the turds!
